On 7 July, in celebration of World Volleyball Day, the Somali Volleyball Federation (SVF) officially launched its Beach Volleyball Training Programme for teenagers at Hamarweyne Coastal District, Mogadishu.
The first training session brought together 10 boys who began learning the fundamentals of beach volleyball under the guidance of SVF coaches. This programme is part of the Federation's long-term strategy to expand beach volleyball, develop young talent, and create opportunities for youth to engage in organized sport.
Through regular training sessions, athlete development, and future competitions, SVF aims to build a strong foundation for beach volleyball in Somalia and prepare a new generation of athletes to compete nationally and internationally.
This launch marks the beginning of an exciting journey for beach volleyball in Somalia.
